Lens to the Runway
Celebrating Black Heritage through Fashion and Photography
Presented by Grassroots Arts Studios CIC for Black History Season, Lens to the
Runway is an empowering fashion showcase spotlighting the intersection of fashion,
photography, and black heritage. This event provides a dynamic platform for
underrepresented creatives to showcase their culturally rich designs and artistic
expressions. With a strong focus on community, diversity, and sustainability, it bridges
the gap between emerging talent and industry opportunities, amplifying voices often
overlooked in mainstream fashion spaces.
The event will also feature networking sessions where participants can engage with
industry professionals and explore opportunities for mentorship with established black
creatives in fashion, photography, and art.

Re-imagining Black Creativity Through Cultural Lenses
A Week-Long Exhibition at BOTH Gallery
Grassroots Arts Studios CIC
are thrilled to collaborate with BOTH Gallery to present a powerful week-long exhibition that continues the
celebration of creativity showcased in Lens to the Runway Season 2. Following the event on 14th December, this
immersive exhibition runs from Monday 16th December to Saturday, 21st December 2024, offering a vibrant space
for art, fashion, and photography enthusiasts to explore groundbreaking works.
This year’s theme,
“Re-imagining Black Creativity Through Cultural Lenses,
” celebrates the depth, resilience, and
innovation of Black artistic expression. Merging visual art and photography, the exhibition highlights emerging
creatives who challenge traditional narratives, honor cultural heritage, and reimagine bold futures.
Expect a captivating display of works that reflect the richness of Black identity, offering new perspectives on
creativity and storytelling. Through this exhibition, Grassroots Arts Studios CIC aims to inspire, provoke, and
connect communities, fostering meaningful dialogue about the transformative power of art.
